The beauty of the fall and winter, and especially the light during these seasons lifts my heart. The watercolor, "Fall light" was painted sitting on a rock in my back yard which was a woods not very long ago. I also love the subtle colors of the late fall and winter. The scenes along the Delaware-Raritan canal where we love to walk all year, have various shades of grey browns and pinks with subtle changes month by month. One snow scene was painted in mid winter from my kitchen window, another painted a few years, shows the snowy cherry tree and black walnut from my current home. The seasons go round and round and yet they are always new. This year Justin, my first grandchild and baby Ella, his little sister are old enough to enjoy playing in the leaves and snow together.
